[PLEDGE MANAGER] Can I back at $1 and upgrade my pledge later?
Yes. Kickstarter will not charge your credit card until the campaign ends, so you can back now at $1 to comment and receive updates throughout the campaign, and upgrade to a higher pledge level later.
Even if you forget to upgrade your pledge, you will still get access to our Backerkit pledge manager after the Kickstarter ends. Once we send you the invitation links to join the system, you can then upgrade your pledge to any reward level, and add additional products or add-ons.
But please do consider upgrading your pledge before the campaign ends to help us unlock more stretch goals!

[PLEDGE MANAGER] How do I get add-ons or previous titles?
Everyone that backed at $1 or more will receive an invitation link to our Backerkit pledge manager. You can then edit your pledge details, address, and add additional items such as additional copies of Jiangnan: Life of Gentry, playmats, wooden inserts, or previous Moaideas titles.
If you’d like to help unlock stretch goals, you can add the funds you expect to spend on add-ons or extras to your Kickstarter pledge amount. The amount that you pledge will be credited to the email used by your Kickstarter account towards purchases of any items in our Backerkit pledge manager.
Please use the same email for Kickstarter & Backerkit to minimize the chances of something going wrong. You can still add additional funds later through Backerkit for add-ons or extras, as long as we haven’t locked down the system for shipping.

[PLEDGE MANAGER] Does the $1 pledge have access to all Kickstarter Exclusive items in the pledge manager?
Short answer: Yes.
The Deluxe Edition and stretch goals are not “KS Exclusive” per se, it is just that it would be hard (but not impossible) to include all these fancy stuff in future print runs by us or licensed partners due to the cost of stretch goals.
Also, I agree that exclusives do not align with the values of the board game community and everything you see on this campaign page will be available in the pledge manager.

[DELIVERY] If I order additional games in the Pledge Manager, when will they ship?
All items ordered in the pledge manager will ship with Jiangnan: Life of Gentry. If you’d like to receive the other games sooner you can order them through our webstore. Note that you will have to pay additional shipping fees there.

[DELIVERY] Are the games US/CA/UK/EU/SEA/AU friendly?
Yes. We have a very detailed shipping plan using 3 different fulfillment companies that will provide customs-friendly shipping through various routes around the world. If your country is not in one of the listed regions, we cannot guarantee customs-friendly shipping to you. Please note that Norway & Switzerland are not in the European Union, so your shipping fees may be higher.
To clarify, there is no escaping VAT when goods enter the European Union, so what “EU Friendly” actually means is that we will take care of import duties & applicable fees and pay them first.

[DELIVERY] How reliable is shipping to Brazil, Mexico and South America?
We will be using VFI Asia for Brazil, Mexico and South America. It might take a longer time for them to deliver to backers, but alternative shipping methods are 3 times more expensive, and you will need to pay import customs.
We know VFI Asia is not a perfect solution, but please understand it is still the best choice for small indie publishers for fulfilling backers in Brazil, Mexico and South America.

[FUNDING] Is 10k really enough?
Yes and No.
By the manufacturing quotes we’ve got, 10K is enough for a small print-run of a barebones edition of Jiangnan: Life of Gentry. But we want to make it better, so the stretch goals are planned with a budget system that tells us “How much more can go into fancy stuff” at different levels of funding.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
