UK, USA, VFI Shipping Update

It's been 2 weeks since the campaign ended, and I am missing you guys already. I've been working behind the scenes on setting up the pledge manager, working on a solution for UK shipping, and also keeping an eye on the global fulfillment situation in all regions.
BackerKit Coming Soon
I've got the pledge manager about 95% ready, but since this is our first time using BackerKit, we are taking it slowly to make sure everything is correct. I hope to get it approved & launched this weekend.
UK Shipping Update
I have found a new fulfillment provider that allows us to bundle United Kingdom import VAT into our shipping costs. They have experience with other board game projects, so there should not be too many problems.
As per the updated chart below, all shipping rates for UK backers are increased, but that’s because VAT has been included. Both the UK & EU backers will not have to pay extra fees on top of the shipping cost in the pledge manager.
New Europe Zone 4
Previously Norway and Switzerland were in the Rest of Europe price bracket, but now they are moved to slightly cheaper shipping costs in Europe Zone 4.
You may have noticed that we originally did not increase USA & VFI shipping costs from the previous campaign in November. The quotes we got at the time of our relaunch in late January were a bit higher, but still within our acceptable range. We were also counting on ocean freight rates to come down in 2022, as everyone seemed quite optimistic about it at the time.
Unfortunately, due to various factors like exchange rate, omicron, and the recent war in Ukraine, our fulfillment partners do not think that ocean freight rates will improve in the near future. As a result, we have to increase shipping costs for backers in USA & VFI areas by about $2-4 USD across the chart.
We have also switched to Gamerati for the North America hub, which we found is cheaper than QML. The price for shipping to Canada has not changed on the above chart, and is actually lowered for multiple copies.
I know you hate price increases, and I promise that I have been looking for ways to get this cheaper. I will be constantly monitoring the situation and continue to shop around to see if it is possible to get a better deal, but frankly the chances do not look good at the moment.

It has been an epic journey and we are so grateful to all of you for your support! Thank you for believing in our game and for trusting us to make something unique for board games.
We had some bumps along the way, but we are grateful for each of the challenges we faced. These gave us new ideas that we would have never thought of otherwise. We hope it has been a fun ride for you too!
The support for Jiangnan: Life of Gentry has been overwhelming and you have made this project a reality. The final total on Kickstarter is $87,970 USD, and we’d like to thank the 1,140 backers who believed in us and decided to support us. This really is a dream come true for us at Moaideas Games Design, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We are already working on the pledge manager and it will be launched in 3-4 weeks. It is our priority to set it up accurately and without errors, and I will let you know as soon as it is ready to launch. Please stay tuned for our announcements.

Only 12 HOURS LEFT! This is the final sprint, we are almost there, and I hope you will help us unlock the last couple of stretch goals before time runs out! We have just passed $80,000 USD, and that means another Stretch Goal has been unlocked!
$80K - Active Player Fan
$80K is a big milestone for us at Moaideas, since that was the final funding total we reached in our Mini Express Kickstarter Campaign. To mark this occasion we will be giving something special, a mini-sized folding fan to use as an Active Player marker. Pass this around the table so you can tell at a glance who is taking their time setting up their turn.
This will be a Kickstarter Exclusive item for the Deluxe Edition. This will still be available for people that make a late pledge through BackerKit, and also retailers that place an order before we lock the pledge manager.
Azure Dragon, Vermillion Bird, White Tiger, Black Tortoise, and the Yellow Dragon… These mythological creatures are collectively known as "The Auspicious Beasts" and were used throughout Chinese history for over 5000 years to represent colors, directions, seasons, emotions, virtues, and elements.
Once we reach this goal we will print a different emblem on each player's drawing bag. Choose your favorite Scared Beast and gain their blessing!

$75K - Logo on Bags
The Jiangnan Logo will be printed on every draw bag in the game. It’s time to take inspiration out of it and create a masterpiece that will inspire generations.
